There was no surprise when 11th ranked Strakonice (5-15) was defeated at home by seventh ranked Havirov (11-8) 67-61 on Sunday. Havirov forced 19 Strakonice turnovers. Swingman Veronika Szabo (175-2003) scored 14 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and Eliska Kubickova (174-2003) chipped in 15 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals during the contest. Four Havirov players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Alena Jenistova (182-1986) responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Karolina Hauserova (171-2004) scored 20 points. Havirov moved-up to fifth place. Loser Strakonice keeps the eleventh position with 15 games lost. Havirov will meet at home Brno B (#6) in the next round. Strakonice will play against Jablonec (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
